Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to information when you read a practice on Healz, and what choices you have. It is written in plain language, and it covers the whole of healz.top.

What we collect

Healz has no accounts, no login and no comment system, so we do not ask you for a name, an email address or any other identifier — and in particular we never ask you to tell us about your health, your sleep or your medical history. The practices are published for anyone to read and nothing about them is personalised to you.

Like almost every website, our server records standard technical information when a page is requested: the IP address the request came from, the date and time, the page requested, the browser's user-agent string, and the referring page if there was one. This is used to keep the site running, to spot abuse and to see roughly which practices are being read.

If you email us at [email protected], we receive your address and whatever you write. We keep that correspondence only for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of corrections we have made.

Cookies and similar technologies

Reading a practice on Healz does not require any cookie. Cookies on this site come from third-party services, chiefly advertising and, where enabled, analytics.

You can refuse or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking them does not stop you reading any part of the site — no practice is gated behind a cookie.

Third-party advertising and Google AdSense

This site is supported by advertising. When ads are served, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. Google may use the DoubleClick DART cookie for this purpose.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com, and you can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices and at youronlinechoices.eu if you are in the European Economic Area.

Analytics

Where analytics are used, they are configured to measure page views and referrers in aggregate. We do not build profiles of individual readers and we do not attempt to link a reading session to a person.

Some analytics providers process data on servers outside your country. Where that happens, transfers rely on the provider's own safeguards, which are described in their published terms.

Links to other sites

Practice pages occasionally link to outside sources, such as a professional body or a published guideline. Those sites have their own privacy policies and their own cookies, and we have no control over either. Once you follow a link off healz.top, this policy no longer applies.

Your rights (GDPR and CCPA)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have the right to request access to personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Healz does not sell personal information.

Because we hold almost nothing that identifies you, a request will usually be answered by explaining what the server logs contain and confirming that we have no other record. Requests can be made through the address on the contact page.

Children

Healz is written for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who it is shared with, the new version will replace this page and the date at the top will change. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
